We're just five short weeks away from the 2014 Taste Trekkers Food & Travel Expo! This is the nation's premiere event for foodies who travel. This year, we have chefs and culinary experts speaking about cuisines from around the world, including:
- New Zealand
- And cities throughout North America
REMINDER: If you are coming in from out of town, we suggest that you book your hotel room before September 10th.
To gear up for this year's Expo, we suggest you listen to our podcast interviews with some of our 2014 speakers. (Remember, you can also download our podcast app to listen to them on your smartphone.) Here's a taste:
Chef José Duarte is the trailblazer behind Taranta in Boston's North End. This year, he'll be joining us to tell stories about the culinary expeditions he leads through the jungles of Peru.
Grace Della leads foodies through several Miami neighborhoods, including South Beach and Little Havana. She'll be joining us at the Expo to lead a session on Nuevo Latino cuisine.
After launching a very successful food tour company in Chicago, Shane launched Food Tour Pros to teach other food tour operators how to launch their own businesses. He'll join us on Industry Day to talk about the state of food tourism.
Chef Cesin Curi of Los Andes in Providence, Rhode Island spoke at last year's Expo, and people loved him so much that we invited him to return this year. He will lead a session on Bolivian cuisine.
Gail Ciampa, Food Editor of The Providence Journal, led a panel discussion on food tourism at last year's Expo. Listen to last year's discussion, and you'll understand why we couldn't wait to have her back to lead this year's discussion on Industry Day as well.
