She's a runner; she has two jobs; and she is known for her sticky buns. Can you guess the identity of our first Unknown Gastronome?
We kicked of 2011 with our hottest Mystery Meet yet - literally! We journeyed to East Coast Grill in Inman Square for one of their legendary Hell Nights. After signing our souls away, we played Russian Roulette with spicy meatballs, gobbled up the Wings of Mass Destruction, and choked back tears as we sucked down Inner Beauty Hot Sauce. Most of us survived.
The lovely Bianca Garcia of the Confessions of a Chocaholic blog played hostess for our first Italian Mystery Meet at Pizzeria Posto in Somerville.
The summer brought another first for Mystery Meet: an outdoor event. We partnered with The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy to give foodies an opportunity to try ten trucks all in one night! Christine Liu of The Discreet Hedonist was our guest host, and Jesse Brackenbury from the Greenway was instrumental in making it all happen. Despite less than cooperative weather - the rain barely held off - 30 foodies marched across downtown to taste the finest street fare the city of Boston has to offer.

Mystery Meet #9 took place at Back Bay Social Club, the new gastro-pub in Back Bay that quickly gained notoriety for its high-priced, high-quality burger. We headed over to the modern-day speakeasy for a special
prix fixe menu with hand-picked beer pairings.
Glenn and Katrin of the Wine Dine with Us blog have been big supporters of Mystery Meet from the very beginning, so we were thrilled to invited them to host our eleventh dinner. They enthusiastically elected to host a pig roast at Citizen Public House and Oyster Bar in Kenmore Square. Our foodies pigged out on Thomas the Hog.
After nearly a year on hiatus, Mystery Meet returned. Jackie and Meesh of the Just Add Cheese blog took our foodies to Church. Chef de Cuisine Jon Gilman paired a heavenly dinner with sinful cocktails.
At our final Mystery Meet of 2010, nearly 30 passionate foodies gathered to try the Indo-Chinese fusion restaurant Mumbai Chopstix. With beautiful decor, our own sitar player and a private room overlooking Newbury Street, we sat down for an adventurous meal from Chef Ranveer Brar.
At our second Mystery Meet, we enjoyed a fantastic eight-dish meal, served family style and followed by an assortment of delicious desserts. Co-owner and chef Joanne Chang took some time out of her duties on the line to mingle with the foodies.
On September 14th, we held our third Mystery Meet at the Russell House Tavern, with a special four-course meal prepared by chef Michael Scelfo. The dinner featured a charcuterie flight, wild coho salmon, berkshire pork and a delcious chocolate cake. The exquisite meal was paired with a special cocktail flight. Check out the photos from our dining excursion in Harvard Square!
Our fourth Mystery Meet was a first for Boston: Dining in the Dark. We brought this Swiss culinary tradition, in which diners eat blindfolded, to the Hampshire House in Beacon Hill. Foodies were treated to a unique culinary experience with live music and guided narration. We've got plenty of photos, so you can see everything that we didn't!
We brought together food truck owners from Los Angeles and Portland, OR with a food truck organizer from Boston to discuss the food truck phenomenon.
We brought together a farmer from Utah, a chef from Georgia and a blogger from Texas to talk about the Farm to Table movement in America.
